The designer Olga Chapiro has launched Laskari in 2014 out of her love and delight for fashion. The brand’s manifesto and DNA is an ode to art and Vienna heritage.
In different years Laskari gowns were chosen by famous opera singers, ballet dancers and politicians, our dresses were seen on stages of the world’s well known opera houses: Vienna State Opera, La Scala, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and the opening of Grafenegg music festival.
We have dressed Vienna opera leading singers Aida Garifullina and Olga Peretyatko also Principal Balett dancers - Mariya Yakovleva, and Eurovision star for Austria Zoe Straub. Also our gowns has chosen by the ambassador for women rights Waris Dirie and many other influential and talented women.
Our masterpieces were published in many well-known fashion magazines, such as Vogue, L’Officiel, Cosmopolitan, Madonna, Look etc.
For five years Laskari was official designer for the Viennese Opera Ball and we were proud to see many of our creations on the red carpet. Our gowns were chosen to be worn at the Cannes Film Festival, Biennale de Venezia and at the MET Gala. In Austria we have opened Vienna Fashion week and the Modepalast Week, both of these events are the biggest fashion happenings in Austria.
Laskari gowns are a combination of the best classic traditions of Vienna, Italian quality of textiles and actual fashion trends. We take pride in producing our collections with utmost attention to detail and emphasise on femininity and individuality.
